Chrome Dokuro - Guardian of the Mist - Close Up

Super old cosplay that I did back in 2009 but I really loved the wig so I wanted to wear it again. I decided to go with the art version where she was in a white dress because I thought it would work better with the Montreal scenery. (It was also a lot cooler than the previous version. ) Turns out that I chose right because the photos for this version of Chrome Dokuro are now one of my favourite set of photos!

Love the effects that were done for this photo and how it gives it a very fantasy-like feeling. I also felt like I was able to convey a bit of sadness through the photo - which is always nice because I want to be able to create art that evoke viewers\' feelings.

Costume Details:
The spikes on the back are actually wefts that were made from cutting the bottom part of the wig off and sewn on upside down on the back and under the top fibres. It was a pain in the butt, but it looked decent in my opinion. Zigzags didn\'t take as long to restyle this time around!
